About Us

Congregation Beth Shalom is a Messianic Jewish Congregation and is different from any synagogue you've experienced before. Our services integrate Jewish customs and traditions with faith in Yeshua as the Jewish Messiah. This adds a critical depth of meaning to faith in Yeshua. Just as faith in Yeshua fulfills the prophetic symbolism of Jewish traditions, customs, festivals and holidays, embracing the Jewish roots of our faith deepens our relationship with -- and understanding of -- the Jewish Messiah to the world.

Our Vision is two-fold:

1) To reach the Jewish people of the CSRA with the Good News that the Jewish Messiah has come!

2) To assist Gentile believers in Yeshua to better understand the Jewish roots of their faith.

Therefore, Congregation Beth Shalom is building Mishpahkah — a family — both Jew and Gentile, in accordance with Romans 1:16.

We believe:

  • the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
  • in God as declared in the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4) who is Echad (a compound unity) and eternally existent in three persons.
  • in God’s Son — Messiah Yeshua — born of a virgin, His deity, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and His future return in power and glory.
  • in God’s Holy spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) who in times past came upon our forefathers (such as Moses, David, and the Prophets) for a specific purpose and who now indwells and empowers believers to live a godly life.
  • in God’s eternal covenant made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — His end-time plan for the nation of Israel and the world.
  • in observing and celebrating the Jewish Holy Days given by God to Israel with their fulfillment being in and through Messiah Yeshua.
