Austin & Jennifer Nesbitt - Messianic Pastor
Austin and Jennifer joined Beth Shalom in 2002 after attending a presentation of “Jesus in the Passover” by Jews for Jesus. In 2003, Austin and Jennifer were married under the Chuppah by former Rabbi Don Lansing. In 2004, they moved away to start a family in Texas. In 2015, they returned to Beth Shalom with 5 children, and a life of experience. In April 2016, Rabbi Lansing ordained Austin and Jennifer as the new leaders of Beth Shalom.
Frank Hutto - Senior Elder
Frank joined Beth Shalom in 2000 when the congregation met in downtown Augusta. Since then, Frank has been a student of the Torah, and a dear friend and servant to Don and Karen and to Beth Shalom. As Elder, Frank leads the congregation with a calm spirit and with wisdom. At Pesach 2016, Beth Shalom honored Frank for his service, naming the Fellowship hall in his honor.
Damian & Irsha Rosa - Deacon & Deaconess
Damian and Irsha began attending Beth Shalom in 2015, when they were convicted by the Ruach HaKodesh of the need to follow God according to the Torah. Being Spirit led, bathing everything in prayer this couple has been a strong example of faith and obedience. Damian and Irsha were ordained as Deacon and Deaconess of Beth Shalom in August 2016, and promptly sent to the Me’uchad conference.
Willie & Espy DeLeon - Deacon & Deaconess
Willie and Espy DeLeon have a long history in the Messianic movement. As strong leaders, they have a heart and passion for spreading the Word of God to the Augusta area. Willie leads our worship liturgy and Espy is our resident Hebrew teacher. Willie and Espy were ordained in April 2016 as Deacon and Deaconess of Beth Shalom.
Sean & Mary Shaw - A/V Director &Dance Coordinator
Sean and Mary originated their messianic involvement in Milwaukee, WI in 2008. When they moved to Beth Shalom in 2010, Sean became the audio-visual director while Mary was involved with the dance team and eventually the leader, creating simple choreography to encourage newbies to join in our dance worship.
Don and Karen Lansing - Former Rabbi and Rebbetzin
Don and Karen Lansing founded Beth Shalom in 1998 through the leading of the Ruach HaKodesh. Don and Karen stepped down in June 2016 retiring for the third time. At Pesach 2016, Beth Shalom honored Don and Karen for their dedication and service to God and Beth Shalom, naming the Sanctuary in their honor.
